
Main Street West Virginia is a downtown revitalization program that follows the National Main Street Center’s community-based approach to preservation and development. Higgins was hired for the position in July 2018 to replace the retired Karen Carper. She said the reason for her departure was to spend more time with her family and to pursue a graduate degree. Trimboli received an academic grant from Jobs for American Graduates in 2019 to help place first-generation college students in future career paths. Trimboli also has extensive experience in events coordination and business management. He has “been involved in many service organizations and was awarded WV 4-H’s highest service award, the All Star,” the release states. He has taught writing, literature, and public speaking, and is currently a visiting professor of English at West Virginia Wesleyan College.
